PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a button unit for a game machine which can effectively utilize energy generated by a player operating a game machine. SOLUTION: A left stop button 7L has a pressing part 105 to be pressed by a player, a button base part 108 extended along the pressing direction, and a flange part 111 projected from a side face of the button base part 108. The button base part 108 has a shaft part 117 with a row of teeth 130 on the bottom part. A generator 134 connected to a gear 132 meshing with the row of teeth 130 is set on the inside bottom part of a button housing part 102.
