PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new antibacterial ceramic product capable of obtaining sufficient antibacterial properties even if the amount of the antibacterial metal to be used is made smaller than that in the conventional one since the utilizing efficiency of the antibacterial metal is high, to provide a ceramic surface treatment agent usable for producing the antibacterial ceramic product, and to provide a method for producing an antibacterial ceramic product using the ceramic surface treatment agent. SOLUTION: In the antibacterial ceramic product, metal nanoparticles with the average particle diameter of≤200 nm at least including silver are made present in the surface. In the ceramic surface treatment agent, metal nanoparticles in which the 90% cumulative diameter D<SB>90</SB>in a particle diameter distribution is≤150 nm are colloid-dispersed into a dispersion medium. In the production method, the surface of a ceramic product is coated with the ceramic surface treatment agent, and thereafter, firing is performed at 800 to 1,600°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
