PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the efficiency of adjusting work and the uniformization of stitches by automatical adjustment to a feeding pitch suitable for the sewing pitch and the feeding speed. SOLUTION: The sewing machine includes a feed adjusting shaft which is arrayed parallel with a horizontal feed shaft inside and adjusted by turning it at a feed pitch by the horizontal motion of the horizontal feed shaft and a motor for adjustment which turns the feed adjusting shaft for the adjustment of the feeding pitch. The sewing machine also includes a link member which is linked to the horizontal feed shaft to transmit the degree of adjustment of the feeding pitch by the horizontal motion to a needle bar oscillation base, an operation panel into which the feeding pitch is inputted and a control part which controls the motor to be adjusted to be the feeding pitch by the feed adjusting shaft, thereby making it reaching the feeding pitch inputted into the operation panel.
