PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion type earphone that can prevent a sound from leaking by improving sealing property between a receiver and an elastic support member supporting the receiver without applying a seal material such as an adhesive and also suppress characteristic variance caused by assembling operation, and has excellent assembling and disassembling easiness since no adhesive is used. SOLUTION: A receiver unit 12 of the insertion type earphone 10 includes a receiver main body 18 connected to a cord 24 and a housing 20 for housing the receiver main body 18. The receiver main body 18 is supported by a gasket 22 disposed closely to the receiver main body 18 and housing 20 while enclosing a front end portion of the receiver main body 18.
