<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure steam sterilizer taking consideration on safety so that operation may be started in a condition a lid is securely closed, which sterilizer is equipped with a chamber having an upper opening set in the sterilizer body and the lid to tightly close the upper opening of the chamber on a lid housing openably/closably supported in the upper part of the sterilizer body to sterilize matters to be sterilized housed in the chamber under high pressure steam. <P>SOLUTION: The high pressure steam sterilizer is equipped with a lock means to lock a lid 5 to block up an upper opening of a chamber in the upper part of the sterilizer body 2. The lock means is equipped with a lock arm 10A supported by the sterilizer body 2 so as to rotate between a locking condition to engage with the periphery part of the lid and an unlocking condition, and a lid lock detecting switch 6A detecting the locking condition of the lock arm so that the operation is not started in a condition that a lid lock detecting switch does not detect a lock condition of the lock arm at the start of the operation of the high pressure steam sterilizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
