PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely efficiently bring droplets into contact with one another or with solid matter and mix them in a microchannel. SOLUTION: A droplet mixing apparatus 10 is constituted of: an apparatus body 18 with both a combining part 14 formed as part of the microchannel 12 for combining plurality of droplets to be mixed and for forming a lump of droplets having a size to come into contact with an inner wall surface of the microchannel and a T-shaped channel part 16 which is located on the downstream side of the combining part 14 and in which a T-shaped channel is formed; a droplet injection means 20 for injecting droplets A and B in the microchannel 12; a transfer means 22 for transferring the injected droplets to the T-shaped channel part 16 via the combining part 14; and a reciprocally moving means 25 for reciprocally moving the lump C of droplets in the T-shaped channel part 16.
