<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling mill which can improve the detecting precision of a load detecting device. <P>SOLUTION: In a so-called intelligent rolling mill 10, respective split upper back-up rolls 28 are split axially direction and are rotatably supported on eccentric shafts 33 to be eccentrically turned by individual rolling reduction devices 32 for each split upper back-up roll. The eccentric shafts are pivot by roll chocks 27 elastically supported in the direction of a load on the upper carriage 21 built in a mill housing 11, and their rotation angles are controlled by the individual rolling reduction devices. The roll chocks are supported on the upper carriage so as to slide in the direction of the load via linear guides 60. The load detecting devices are arranged between the roll chocks and a frame side, and are arranged such that their detecting positions are shifted toward the centers of the split back-up rolls from the centers of the eccentric shafts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
