<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore setup information in accordance with an option configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 10 is provided with a nonvolatile memory for storing the setup information of the image processing apparatus 10. When backing up the setup information, in a control unit, the setup information stored in the nonvolatile memory is sorted into setup information being dependent on and independent of an option configuration of the image processing apparatus that is the backup source, and the sorted setup information is stored in a PC 30 or an external storage device 40 and backed up, respectively. Furthermore, the image processing apparatus 10 comprises an I/F for reading the sorted setup information from the PC 30 or the external storage device 40 wherein the relevant setup information is stored, and restores the read setup information. When restoring the setup information, the control unit stores in the nonvolatile memory the setup information being dependent on the option configuration in a case where the option configuration of the image processing apparatus that is the backup source is identical to that of an image processing apparatus that is a restore destination, and restores the setup information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
