PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder for broadcasting program which prepares a ranking list according to the taste and view inclination of a viewer and achieves a reserved video recording easily by using the ranking list. SOLUTION: The broadcasting program video recorder 3 holds an EPG to be provided from a broadcasting station 1. An operation input of the viewer is received and the broadcasting program video recorder 3 selects a program applicable to a genre which has been input, from the EPG. The broadcasting program video recorder 3 accesses to a contents server 2 through a network 4, searches the program from the contents under a URL which has been input, and calculates the number of search of each program. The broadcasting program video recorder 3 selects the program applicable to either of a designated day, a designated day of the week or a designated month which has been input, from the programs whose number of search has been calculated, and prepares the ranking list. At this time, the ranking list is prepared based on the past reserved video recording information of the viewer.
