PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data precisely in a short time regardless of the change in temperature and voltage. SOLUTION: A delay signal generator shown in Figure 1 is used for an optical disc recording device. A detecting portion 105 finds a second delay select signal at a time when a difference in delay amount between a second delay signal and a first delay signal becomes a pulse width of a pulse signal for detection, and outputs the number of buffers between an output position corresponding to the second delay select signal and an output position corresponding to a first delay select signal as a detection result. A delay amount controlling portion 106 finds a control input signal based on the detection result. A delay line 101 for recording delays a clock for recording by an amount of delay according to the control input signal.
