PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container having a lid that can be easily opened and closed by means of a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: The container includes a container body 7 provided with an opening 5 in its vertical surface, a lid 8 that rolls between a closed position for closing the opening 5 and an opened position provided in the horizontal direction of the closed position for opening the opening 5, and guide means 9, 9' for guiding the rolling of the lid 8.
