PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of suitably lifting a needle valve even if a temperature of a fluid interposed between a displacement element in an injector body and the needle valve is raised by influence of heat of an engine and viscosity of the fluid is reduced. SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve is provided with an intermediate body interposed between the displacement element in the injector body and the needle valve, transmitting elongation to the needle valve when the displacement element is operated and quickly elongated and not transmitting elongation to the needle valve when the displacement element is more slowly elongated by thermal expansion. The intermediate body comprises a drive member moved interlocked with the elongation of the displacement element; a member to be driven provided on the needle valve; the fluid interposed in a predetermined clearance of the drive member and the member to be driven; and a throttling for giving predetermined resistance to the fluid escaping from the predetermined clearance. A degree of throttling is enhanced by difference of thermal expansion of the drive member and the member to be driven at thermal expansion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
