DISPLAY SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A display substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance adhesive force of a data pad by forming a second active layer in a lower part of the data pad, thereby suppressing lifting faults of the data pad. A first metal pattern includes a gate line(GL), a gate pad and a gate electrode(G) protruded from the gate line. A gate insulating layer is formed on a substrate(110) where the first metal pattern is formed. A first active layer is overlapped with the gate electrode on the gate insulating layer. A second active layer(A2) is formed in the same layer as the first active layer in correspondence with a data pad(DP). A second metal pattern includes a data line(DL), the data pad, a source electrode(S) and a drain electrode(D). The data line is formed on the gate insulating layer where the first and second active layers are formed. The source electrode is protruded from the data line. The drain electrode is spaced from the source electrode as much as a predetermined width. A passivation layer(140) is formed on the substrate where the second metal pattern is formed.
