<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which can easily remove generated water. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell has a membrane electrode assembly 1 is constituted by arranging an oxidant electrode pole and a fuel electrode pole at both sides of an electrolyte layer. The fuel cell is provided with a diaphragm 32 to generate sound waves arranged so as to face the oxidant electrode with a gas passage 30 between, and the diaphragm 32 has one or more holes 34.
