<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image such as a contour line, for example, desired by a user from a picture or a natural image like a photograph without the need of complicated image processing or operation techniques of the user. <P>SOLUTION: The image is acquired by an image acquisition unit, the color gamut of the acquired image is degenerated to produce a first image, and the produced first image is formed on a recording medium. A second image including an object that the user has recorded to the first image is then read by a scan unit, a third image obtained by extracting the object that the user has recorded is generated on the basis of the read second image, and the produced third image is formed on the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
