PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for not only easily safely removing powdery and viscous liquid engraving tails which is generated when a relief image is manufactured by direct laser engraving and can be easily safely removed, and also to provide a method for removal of the laser engraving tails. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the printing plate and the method for removing the laser engraving tails are featured by containing processes of: preparing a sheet like printing original plate by optically building a photosensitive resin composition; preparing the printing plate by irradiating laser beams on the printing original plate to form a purpose pattern; and brushing the surface of the obtained printing plate in a water series developing on a surface of the obtained printing plate.
