PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device being a top emission type organic EL device, improved in color purity of emission light, and also improved in contrast. SOLUTION: This organic EL display device is provided with: a plurality of pixel electrodes CD arranged on a principal surface of an insulation substrate SUB; a plurality of organic EL layers OLE each having a multilayer structure which are respectively arranged on the plurality of pixel electrodes CD; a translucent counter electrode AD arranged on the organic EL layers OLE; and banks BMP arranged among the plurality of organic EL layers OLE; and is structured to have strip-like auxiliary electrodes SD on the counter electrode AD.
