A fuel cap locking apparatus for vehicles is provided to for simplifying the structure of a case by employing a gear of a rotation member and a screw unit of a sliding member as a device for converting rotation motion of a motor into linear motion. A fuel cap locking apparatus for vehicles comprises a case(140), a motor(150), a locking member(160), and a transmission. The case is attached to a cap member(120). The motor is installed in the case. The locking member is installed to lock and unlock the fuel cap. The transmission receives power from the motor and moves the locking member to open and close the fuel cap. The transmission includes a rotation member(171) and a sliding member(173). The rotation member is rotated along an axis which a line extending to the movement direction of the locking member by the motor in the case. The sliding member fits to the rotation member and moves linearly in the case along the axis of the rotation member.
