PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method which enables the removal of an ammonia nitrogen-containing drainage nitrogen component securely and sufficiently for a long period of time, and to provide a treatment apparatus. SOLUTION: The treatment method of ammonia nitrogen-containing drainage comprises the steps of (1) adjusting the concentration of chloride ions in the ammonia nitrogen content drainage and (2) electrochemically treating the ammonia nitrogen-containing drainage adjusting the concentration of the ions.
