APPARATUS FOR SYNTHESIZING IMAGES USING DMB DATA BROADCASTING SIGNAL AND METHOD THEREOF

An apparatus and a method for composing images by using a DMB data broadcasting signal are provided to enable a processing unit to compose the images by using image data and BIFS data acquired from the DMB data broadcasting signal and a basic image acquired by a camera, thereby editing an image on a DMB receiver without having a special image edit tool and composing the image variously. A RF(Radio Frequency) receiver(11) receives a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) signal. A demultiplexer(12) acquires BIFS(BInary Format for Scene) image data from the received DMB signal. A decoder(13) decodes the BIFS image data. A processing unit(16) performs image composition by using the BIFS image data obtained from the DMB signal and a basic image obtained from a camera(14) which photographs the basic image.
