<p>A pedestrian safety warning comprising either the phrase "LOOK LEFT" or the phrase "LOOK RIGHT" in which the two letters "O" in the word "LOOK" are modified by an additional shape 3 inside the letter so that they resemble to the viewer two eyes looking in the direction described in the phrase. In one embodiment the phrase is formed using white paint on the surface of a road. The words and shapes inside the letters "O" as well as the background may be formed from any other material of any colour as long as the letters and shapes contrast with the background sufficiently for the warning to be perceived. In an alternative embodiment the warning is made using electrically illuminated figures and may be incorporated into upright road signs.</p> |
