Provided is an ultrasonic sensor having a structure wherein oscillation of a piezoelectric element is not easily damped, a terminal can be easily positioned at a prescribed position and the piezoelectric element and the terminal can be easily connected. The ultrasonic sensor (10) includes a bottomed cylindrical case (12). In the case (12), the piezoelectric element (16) is formed at the bottom, and a cushioning member (20) is fitted on the side of an opening. On a holding section (26) of the cushioning member (20), a substrate (34) and pin terminals (36a, 36b) are fitted and held. On the substrate (34), electrodes (38a, 38b) are formed to be connected with the pin terminals (36a, 36b). On an upper surface of the cushioning member (20), an opening section (32) is formed. Lead wires (42a, 42b) electrically connected with the piezoelectric element (16) are extracted from the opening section (32), and are connected with the electrodes (38a, 38b). The inside of the case (12) is filled with an elastic resin (44) from the opening section (32).
