A semiconductor IC(Integrated Circuit) device for display control is provided to exchange the position of data by implementing a selector circuit. A semiconductor IC device for display control includes a display memory(206), a preliminary memory area, a redundant circuit(230), and a selector circuit(213). The display memory includes a memory area for storing display data. The preliminary memory area is formed an area except for the memory area. The redundant circuit executes defect redundancy by exchanging an area including the defect of the display memory with the preliminary memory area. The selector circuit formed in a delivery path of output data from the display memory, selectively exchanges the output data from the display memory with output data from the preliminary memory according to control signals from the redundant circuit.
