An LCD device having a CLC film is provided to form a lower polarizing plate comprised of a C-plate, a phase difference film, a polarizing plate, and a DBEF(Dual Brightness Enhancement Film) film into a piece of CLC film, thereby polarizing light from a light source to original polarized light directly. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device comprises an LCD panel(111), a CLC(Cholesteric Liquid Crystal) film(120), a phase difference film(141) and a polarizing sheet(130). The liquid crystal film has a first surface and a second surface corresponding to the first surface. The CLC film is formed on the first surface of the LCD panel, and the phase difference film and the polarizing sheet are formed on the second surface of the LCD panel. The phase difference film is at least one of a half-wavelength phase difference film and a quarter-wavelength phase difference film. |
