The data carrier (10) has a recording surface comprising a marking area, and a recording area (3) for colored representation of information i.e. image information. A coloring layer (12) is applied on a substrate (11) in the recording area, and a covering layer (14) from a thermally high-conducting material is provided on the coloring layer. A transparent top layer is provided on the entire surface of the substrate and covers the recording surface, and a metal film is provided as a metal layer for the covering layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a card-shaped data carrier. |
