<p>A clasp comprises a first elongated bar (1,21,31,41,51,61,71), a second elongated bar (2,22,32,42,52,62,72) and at least one holder (4A,4B,4C) that holds the first elongated bar (1,21,31,41,51,61,71) and the second elongated bar (2,22,32,42,52,62,72) together. The first elongated bar (1,21,31,41,51,61,71) has a plurality of pin-receiving holes (3A,3B,3C) therein and the second elongated bar (2,22,32,42,52,62,72) has a plurality of bendable sheet pins (5A,5B,5C) thereon. The holders (4A,4B,4C) are slidable on the first elongated bar (1,21,31,41,51,61,71) between their pin-holding positions and their pin-freeing positions. The bendable sheet pins (5A,5B,5C) can extend through the corresponding holes of a bundle of items to be bound together and the pin-receiving holes (3A,3B,3C) in first elongated bar (1,21,31,41,51,61,71) when the bendable sheet pins (5A,5B,5C) extend generally at right angles to the second elongated bar (2,22,32,42,52,62,72).Portions of the bendable sheet pins (5A,5B,5C) extending through the pin-receiving holes (3A,3B,3C) in first elongated bar (1,21,31,41,51,61,71) are bendable over on the first elongated bar (1,21,31,41,51,61,71) and held by the holders (4A,4B,4C) after the holders (4A,4B,4C) are moved to the pin-holding positions. Then the first elongated bar (1,21,31,41,51,61,71) and the second elongated bar (2,22,32,42,52,62,72) are held together and the items are sandwiched between them. At least one bendable sheet pin (5A,5B,5C) is formed by a bent strip integrally cut from the second elongated bar (2,22,32,42,52,62,72).The clasp according to the invention is simple, easy to manufacture and material saving.</p> |
