DISPLAY SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A display substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve an aperture ratio by reducing a margin of an area, for preventing mismatch, applied to a drain electrode and a storage common line. Gate lines are prolonged in a first direction on a base substrate. Data lines are prolonged in a second direction crossing the first direction, and define plural unit pixels by crossing the gate lines. A switching device is connected to the gate lines and the data lines and formed in the unit pixel. A storage common line is prolonged in the first direction, and formed to be adjacent to a drain electrode of the switching device. An organic insulating layer(150) is formed on a base substrate(110) where the switching device is formed, and includes a hole. Within the unit pixel, the hole is prolonged from a contact unit, formed in one end of the drain electrode, to an area corresponding to the storage common line. A pixel electrode(PE) is formed on the organic insulating layer in correspondence with the unit pixel, and contacted with the contact unit through the hole.
