Disclosed is an intracerebral oxidation inhibitor which can prevent the o ccurrence of dementia and is effective for early treatment. Specifically dis closed are: an intracerebral oxidation inhibitor comprising a peptide compos ed of Leu and Ile or a modified form thereof as an active ingredient; and a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for dementia, which comprises a peptide co mposed of Leu and Ile or a modified form thereof as an active ingredient and has an inhibitory activity on intracerebral oxidation.
