#CMT# #/CMT# The device has an air bag inserted in a bag (7), and forming a bead that is arranged at the front of an inner equipment e.g. episcope (1). A triggering and inflating device (9) includes a triggering sensor and a pyrotechnic inflating unit that is connected to the air bag using an inflation channel (6). The inflating device is integrated inside the inner equipment, where the sensor is in the form of an accelerometer measuring the acceleration in an axis of the equipment. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for protecting an occupant of a military vehicle e.g. armored car. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The utilization of the pyrotechnic inflating unit reduces encumbrance of the device and enables inflation of the air bag in a rapid manner.
