A sill cover assembly includes an elongated first shell of metal having a selected profile with an interior face and an exterior face. The interior face is adapted to overlay a sill portion of a display fixture. There is also an elongated second shell of a composite material also having the selected profile and overlying the exterior face of the firs t shell. The second composite shell receives structural support from the first shell.
