<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device capable of securely and effectively carrying out operations for cutting and separating a cathode terminal and an anode terminal together with a first wall part from a battery tank of a secondary cell provided with the cathode terminal and the anode terminal at the first wall part structuring a first surface of the battery tank. <P>SOLUTION: The cutting device 1 forming an aperture part at the battery tank by cutting the first wall part of the battery tank with the cathode terminal and the anode terminal, is provided with a work driving part displacing with a secondary cell mounted, and a cutting member 35 containing a cutting blade facing to a displacing direction toward a back side of the secondary cell by the work driving part, and also with a formed cut-surface set in parallel with the displacing direction.
