PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make enhancement of rim slipping-resistance and enhancement of rim fitting property in a contrary relationship compatible. SOLUTION: The pneumatic type cushion tire is provided with an annular base rubber layer 5 capable of being fitted in the state that it is fastened to the regular rim 3; and a tread rubber layer 7 of at least one layer provided on an outer peripheral surface of the base rubber layer 5. One annular projection 17 projected to an outer side in a tire width direction W is provided on a side surface of a contact part 5a contacted with a rim flange 3f of the regular rim 3 in the base rubber layer 5.
