PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an alarm from sounding during a conference or a test. SOLUTION: The time wherein the alarm is inhibited is previously set; when a control circuit decides that the time comes, the control circuit decides whether a telephone device is in an off state (step S2). When it is decided that the telephone device is in the off state and alarm time comes (step S3), the alarm is inhibited (step S4) and when it is decided that the telephone device is in the off state and alarming time comes (step S5), the alarm is inhibited (step S6).
