<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight assembly with display quality improved, and a display device having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight assembly includes a light source unit, an optical sheet, and a mold frame. The light source unit emits light. The optical sheet, arranged at an upper part of the light source unit, includes a main body part for improving characteristics of light and a sheet guide part protruded in an outer-shell direction from the main body part. The mold frame is in a shape of a frame so as to house the light source unit and the optical unit, has a sheet guide groove for the sheet guide part to be housed in, and a fall-off prevention protrusion preventing misalignment of the optical sheet formed at least at one side of the sheet guide groove. Thus, as the fall-off prevention protrusion of the mold frame prevents the optical sheet from being misaligned, the display device can further be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
