<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a conventional information distribution system, wherein a large amount of data such as map information is distributed from a retrieval server to a mobile phone, and it is difficult to secure data transmission rate, so that the useless map information is displayed on an area where a user has already passed at high speed by a vehicle or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A data transmission rate between the retrieval server and the mobile phone in an arbitrary place at an arbitrary time is measured by dummy data transmission/reception, and a moving speed of the mobile phone is measured by using GPS or the like, and a data capacity which can be distributed within a transmission time not to be wasted is determined on the basis of the measurement results, and a file having map information equal to or smaller than the determined data capacity is retrieved by the retrieval server, and the map information is transmitted to the mobile phone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
