PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner comprising an indoor unit with a human body detecting sensor arranged in a position to obtain a sufficient scope. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner capable of detecting presence/absence of a person by the human body detecting sensor equipped in the indoor unit to control the operation, at least one of the human body detecting sensors 26, 28, 30, 32, 34 is mounted on an upper part of the indoor unit.
