<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article carrying facility capable of opening/closing an automatic door without using a magnetic tape. <P>SOLUTION: A carrier truck 3 obtains a residual travel distance to the automatic door 6 by position information on a travel route 4 detected by a detection means and preset position information of the automatic door 6, obtains an addition value of a distance by which the carrier truck 3 travels for a time wherein the automatic door 6 changes over from a closed state to an open state and a necessary stop distance from a travel speed after the changeover time, makes the automatic door 6 in the open state when the residual travel distance reaches the addition value, and outputs a closing instruction signal to the automatic door 6 to make the automatic door 6 in the closed state when confirming passage of the automatic door 6 of the carrier truck 3.
