PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket of a simple structure, easy to be attached to and detached from a board or the like, and capable of being surely electrically connected under vibration environments, as well as an electric bulb device using the same. SOLUTION: For the socket 2 for mounting a wedge-base bulb, a cross section of elastic arms 4 locking each of a pair of outer lead wires 5 of the wedge-base bulb set along each locking groove is made provided with a relief part at either side of the locking groove so that a thickness of the cross section gets thinner as it gets away from the locking groove, and an outer periphery of the lead wire 5 is to be in contact with an electrode 15 at the side of a circuit board 14 even if the socket 2 rotates.
