PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized connector capable of accomplishing reliable lock and efficiently preventing invasion of resin into the lock piece and the vicinity when forming an external resin cover. SOLUTION: The electric connector is a plug connector comprising a housing for holding a plurality of terminals in parallel and lock pieces provided in parallel with the terminals to be engaged with a mating connector. The lock piece comprises a base; an arm part which extends from this base towards the mating connector via a curved part, provides a latch part to be engaged with a latched part of the mating connector, and can move a preset distance; a stationary part which extends from the base in the same direction as the arm part and is fixed to the housing; and a regulating section which is disposed opposite to the stationary part (when viewed from the base), extends from the base in the direction of movement of the arm part, and is fixed to the housing.
