<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supervise a path connection state when an AIS (Alarm Indication Signal) is transferred. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with an overhead extraction circuit 2 (14) which extracts overhead information in a main signal transmitted from a preceding device, a path supervisory circuit 3 (15) which performs path connection supervisory using a second path setting information which is transmitted using a first path setting information included in the overhead information or a first auxiliary signal from the preceding device, and an auxiliary signal switching circuit 6 (18) which transfers the first or the second path setting information using the auxiliary signal to a succeeding device when transferring an alarm indication signal to the succeeding device. The path supervisory circuit 3 (15) is provided with a path discrimination circuit which compares the first and the second path setting information and a third path setting information memorized beforehand, and is further provided with a cross-connect processing circuit 4 (16) which performs the cross-connect processing in a predetermined frame unit included in the main signal based on the discrimination result of the path discrimination circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
