PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate switching operation between protrusion and retraction of a mechanical key, in a key unit in which the mechanical key held in a key case and capable of being protruded from/retracted into a key case. SOLUTION: The mechanical key 31, which is slidably held in the key case 85, is connected to the other end side of a lever 92, the one end of which is rotatably and pivotally supported on the key case 85 and which is housed in the key case 85. An operating knob 97, which is arranged in the key case 85 in such a manner as to enable a manual sliding operation in a direction parallel to the sliding direction of the mechanical key 31, is connected to an intermediate portion of the lever 92.
