PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head substrate which enables a sure and high-speed data transmission, and also to provide a recording head using the head substrate, and a recorder using the recording head. SOLUTION: The recording head and the recorder are constituted such that a plurality of data lines and a synchronizing signal for a clock or the like, which are needed between a conventional recorder and a recording head, are eliminated. The synchronizing signal and high-frequency data (recording data) are multiplexed in the recorder, and the function of internally reproducing the synchronizing signal is incorporated in head units 101-104, so that the high frequency data is internally developed and processed. A low-voltage differential transmission (LVDS) line 300 is used for a transmission line, and noise to cause a malfunction in transferring the high-frequency data is thereby prevented from occurring so that the transmission line is protected from the noise.
