PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing oil scraper having a longer life while reducing a torque loss due caused by friction. SOLUTION: The sliding bearing oil scraper 61 is arranged in opposition to the bearing face of a rotating shaft or in opposition to bearing faces 5a, 5b of a thrust collar 5 provided at the rotating shaft for decreasing lubricating oil flowing from the upstream side. The scraper has a tapered face 24 inclined toward the reverse face in a range from the surface front end to the surface rear end. The scraper is also constituted so as to float toward the bearing face of the rotating shaft or toward the bearing faces 5a, 5b of the thrust collar 5 by negative pressure which is generated between the tapered face 24 and the bearing face of the rotating shaft or between the tapered face 24 and each of the bearing faces 5a, 5b of the thrust collar 5 by the rotation of the rotating shaft.
