PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of the noise of a reactor, switching noise and a switching loss, in a DC power supply device which is achieved in the reduction of a harmonic current and improved in power factor. SOLUTION: This DC power supply device comprises: the reactor 2 which is connected to an AC power supply 1; a bridge rectifying circuit 3; a smoothing capacitor 7; a bidirectional switch 4 which makes a short-circuit current flow to the reactor 2; a capacitor 5 and an auxiliary switch 6 which are connected in series; a zero-cross detection means 9 which detects an AC voltage zero point; and a switch drive control means 10. The generation of noise is suppressed by preventing an abrupt change of a voltage of the reactor 2 by turning on the auxiliary switch 6 during the bidirectional switch 4 is turned on and off, and the reduction of the noise and the loss can be achieved by conducting the zero-current switching and the zero-voltage switching of the bidirectional switch 4 and the auxiliary switch 6.
