<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming apparatus in which a shift catalyst is not deteriorated even when starting and stopping are repeated and which is suitable for a small size fuel cell power generation system. <P>SOLUTION: The reforming apparatus is equipped with: a reforming reaction part 1 into which a hydrocarbon-based raw fuel gas and steam are supplied and in which a hydrogen-enriched reformed gas is produced by a steam reforming reaction; a shift reaction part 2 into which the reformed gas produced in the reforming reaction part 1 is supplied and in which CO gas contained in the reformed gas is reduced by aqueous shift reaction; a CO selective oxidation reaction part for oxidizing the CO gas contained in the reformed gas sent out from the shift reaction part 2 to reduce the CO gas; and a reformed gas discharge passage 13 for discharging the reformed gas to the outside. Further, the reforming apparatus has a gas supply control means for supplying the raw fuel gas at least to the shift reaction part 2 so as to compensate the gas-shrinkage caused by lowering of temperature in a state that the reformed gas discharge passage 13 is closed after the stoppage of the operation of the reforming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
