PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an operational speed of a serial peripheral interface which allows mutual data exchange between a driving unit of a display device and an external device via serial communications. SOLUTION: A display device includes a display panel assembly, a driving unit which drives the display panel assembly, and an interface which includes a plurality of registers and which receives an external driving signal and controls the driving unit; wherein the plurality of registers are divided into at least two blocks or more. The driving signal includes a serial data input signal, and the serial data input signal includes a serial data input signal, and the serial data input signal contains a block selecting bit and data bits.
