PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for protecting privacy on a multi-view display. SOLUTION: The method for protecting privacy on multi-view display comprises: a process of displaying a first image on a first image view of a multi-view display 8, wherein the first image view provides an unobstructed view to a viewer 2 positioned at a first location but provides an increasingly obscured view to the viewer 2 as a viewer's position moves away from the first position; and a process of displaying a mask image on a second image view of the multi-view display 8, wherein the second image view provides unobstructed views to viewers 4, 6 positioned at second locations but provides increasingly obscured views to the viewers 4, 6 as the positions of viewers move away from the second locations.
