PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely avoid an increase in combustion noise even when an auxiliary device drive load is increased during the idling in a control device of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: To offset a combustion noise increased amount CN1 predicted when a fuel injection amount is increased according to an increase in an auxiliary device drive load during the idling, a rail pressure (fuel injection amount) is reduced so that a combustion noise decreased amount CN2 equal to the combustion noise increased amount CN1 can be obtained. To prevent the combustion from being degraded due to an increase in the grain size of the spray, the temperature in a cylinder is raised by increasing the internal EGR amount to promote the vaporization of a fuel.
