PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin excellent in molecular-weight distribution and lightness and an electrostatic charge image developing toner using the polyester resin and to provide a production method which is suitably useable for the polyester resin and to provide a microreactor apparatus which is suitably usable for the production method and to provide a development apparatus, a cartridge and an image-forming apparatus each using the electrostatic charge image developing toner.

SOLUTION: The polyester resin is characterized in that a molecular-weight distribution (MWD) represented by weight average molecular weight (Mw)/number average molecular weight (Mn) is ≥1.0 and ≤2.2 and lightness (L*) obtained when the resin is molded into a molding having 5 cm diameter and 2 mm thickness is ≥97.0 and ≤100.
