PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmitter for enabling a viewer to select a displaying method and displaying information synchronized with video data or other real time events as characters or image data, and a video display device. SOLUTION: The information transmitter multiplexes position information of an object synchronized with video data or an event different from the video data to a TS (transport stream) with an ES (elementary stream) composed of the video data multiplexed thereto as another ES and outputs the position information. The video display device separates synchronous data multiplexed to the TS, prepares display data from data that analyzes the separated synchronous data by a displaying method selected by a viewer, superimposes the display data on the video data and displays the display data. Consequently, it is possible to confirm the position of a player in a field in sport from an optional viewpoint, display information such as a team name, a position, a uniform number and results for each player and further makes a user freely customize display contents.
